WESTBOUND SH-183, TEXAS — All lanes of the westbound SH-121/SH-183 (Airport Freeway) TEXpress corridor will be closed to traffic from Main Street to Texas Boulevard (FM 26). The closure is situated at mile marker 582 in Tarrant County. The general-purpose main lanes remain unaffected and open to through traffic.
Traffic management crews have implemented an active detour to route all westbound traffic through the standard general-purpose lanes. Motorists must exit the express system ahead of the work zone to bypass the closed toll segments.
This is a nighttime-only operation beginning at 9:00 p.m. on October 27, 2026, with daily overnight closures scheduled to wrap up by 5:00 a.m. on October 30, 2026. Lanes will reopen to standard operations during daytime hours.
Freight operators and dispatchers should anticipate localized bottlenecks at the access ramps entering the general-purpose lanes during overnight travel. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
