EASTBOUND I-820, TEXAS — All eastbound I-820 TEXpress lanes are closed between Mile Marker 18 (west of US-377/Denton Highway) and Mile Marker 22 (west of SH-26) for scheduled overnight operations. The general-purpose main lanes remain fully open and are not affected by this closure.
TxDOT crews have implemented a detour directing all eastbound toll-lane traffic onto the general-purpose lanes between the Denton Highway 377 exit ramp and Texas Boulevard 26. Detour signage is in place to guide motorists around the closed managed lanes.
Work is restricted to nighttime hours, beginning each night at 9:00 p.m. and reopening by 5:00 a.m. the following morning, with the project slated to conclude by October 31, 2026. Any weekend work will wrap up by 6:30 a.m.
Commercial drivers and dispatchers should anticipate lane shifts when merging into general-purpose traffic and adjust toll routing accordingly. We will update this report as conditions warrant or if closure schedules change.
