WESTBOUND I-20, TEXAS — The westbound Interstate 20 exit ramp connecting to southbound US 287 is completely closed near mile marker 445. The total ramp shutdown impacts traffic approximately one mile east of the US 287 interchange, cutting off direct westbound-to-southbound access.
TxDOT crews have shut down the ramp as part of a scheduled nighttime operation. A marked detour route is currently in place, and drivers traveling through the interchange must follow posted signs to bypass the closure.
The overnight restriction began at 9:00 PM on October 23, 2026, and is expected to reopen to normal traffic patterns by 6:00 AM on October 24, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers routing through this corridor should factor in detour transit times when planning trips overnight. We will update this report if work schedules shift or reopening times are modified.
