UPDATE: CLOSURE NO LONGER LISTED AS ACTIVE As of October 24, 2026, DriveTexas no longer lists the lane restriction on eastbound and westbound Loop 304 between FM-2712 and US-287 as active.
LOOP 304, TEXAS — A major traffic incident has restricted travel on Loop 304 in both directions between mile markers 0676 and 0674. The affected segment extends from 0.38 miles west of FM-2712 to 0.3 miles north of US-287, reducing all traffic down to a single lane.
Active two-way traffic control is in place to alternate eastbound and westbound vehicle movement through the remaining open lane. Crews and emergency personnel are on site managing the closure and working to clear the roadway.
Texas Department of Transportation officials estimate that clearance efforts will conclude by approximately 11:45 PM. While no official detours have been established, moving through the one-lane zone will require patience.
Commercial truck drivers and local motorists should approach the corridor with caution, reduce speeds, and be prepared to stop at flagger checkpoints. We will update this report as more information becomes available.
