WESTBOUND I-10, TEXAS — All westbound main lanes of Interstate 10 are completely shut down following a severe traffic incident between mile marker 700 and mile marker 713. The closure stretches from 871 feet west of FM-102 to nearly four miles east of FM-2761, causing significant travel delays.
Emergency response crews and highway personnel have established a mandatory detour, diverting all westbound traffic off the interstate and onto the frontage road while responders work the scene.
Transportation officials estimate that the closure and recovery operations will continue through approximately 10:15 AM on October 24, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and motorists are strongly advised to plan for major delays through the corridor or arrange alternate westbound routes. We will update this report as additional details become available.
