SPUR 588, TEXAS — Multiple lanes are closed in both the northbound and southbound directions on Spur 588 following a major incident reported late Thursday evening. The closure spans from approximately one mile north of Business I-20E to just under a mile south of SH-191, near Mile Marker 0328.
Emergency responders and maintenance crews are on the scene conducting traffic control and clearance operations. An active detour has been established to route traffic around the blocked sections of the highway.
TxDOT officials anticipate the incident will be cleared and all lanes reopened by approximately 1:00 AM on October 24. Significant travel delays persist in the surrounding corridor while crews work to clear the roadway.
