NORTHBOUND US 287, TEXAS — The exit ramp connecting northbound US-287 to westbound Interstate 20 is fully closed near mile marker 470 in Tarrant County. The closure spans from just under three-quarters of a mile east of I-20 up to the interchange, blocking direct ramp access for motorists traveling westbound.
TxDOT crews have implemented a full nighttime closure of the connector ramp. A marked detour is actively deployed to route traffic around the work zone, and drivers must follow the posted alternate routes to reach westbound I-20.
Work commenced at 9:00 PM on October 23, 2026, and the ramp is scheduled to reopen by 6:00 AM on October 24, 2026. The closure is restricted to overnight hours to minimize daytime travel impacts.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers routing through the area should account for the detour when planning overnight deliveries and travel. We will update this report as TxDOT provides new information.
