SOUTHBOUND SH-121, TEXAS — All lanes of the westbound and southbound SH-121 (Airport Freeway) TEXpress lanes are closed from 0.33 miles east of SH-183 to 0.19 miles north of I-820, between Mile Marker 0292 and Mile Marker 0296. The closure encompasses the toll corridor from Main Street to Texas Boulevard 26.
General-purpose main lanes remain fully open and are not affected by the construction activity. Traffic management has implemented a designated detour, directing all toll lane traffic to merge and continue via the standard general-purpose lanes.
This is a nighttime operation scheduled to begin nightly at 9:00 PM starting November 2, 2026, with daily overnight closures concluding by 5:00 AM on November 6, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and regional dispatchers should plan for standard-lane merge patterns during overnight transit through the corridor. We will update this report if TxDOT alters the closure schedule or issues revised traffic advisories.
