I-10, TEXAS — A complete nightly closure of the Interstate 10 main lanes is taking place in both directions between Mile Markers 608 and 610, stretching from east of FM-78 to east of SH-123 near Rio Nogales Drive. The scheduled operation closes all main travel lanes, causing significant localized bottlenecks.
TxDOT crews and traffic control personnel are actively detouring all approaching traffic off the main lanes and onto the adjacent frontage road. Law enforcement and flaggers are on site to monitor detour flow and guide commercial motor vehicles through the detour corridor.
This road work is scheduled as a nighttime-only operation, with full lane shutdowns running from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. nightly through November 8, 2026. Main travel lanes will reopen each morning to accommodate daytime commuter traffic.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should plan for delays along the frontage road detour or consider alternate east-west routes through the area during overnight hours. We will update this report as further schedule changes or lane reopening notices are issued by TxDOT.
