SOUTHBOUND I-820, TEXAS — The Texas Department of Transportation has reported a full ramp closure on southbound Interstate 820 approaching Interstate 20 near mile marker 34. Both the southbound I-820 connector ramp to eastbound I-20 and the ramp to westbound I-20 are completely shut down.
Road maintenance crews have instituted active detour routes to guide motorists around the interchange. Drivers traveling through the area are instructed to follow all posted detour signage to access Interstate 20.
The overnight closure began at 9:00 PM on November 2, 2026, and is scheduled to reopen by 6:00 AM on November 3, 2026, prior to the morning rush hour.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers are advised to plan alternative routing across southern Tarrant County to avoid navigation issues at the interchange. We will update this report as additional details become available.
