RM-2769, TEXAS — Severe winter conditions have created significant travel hazards along east and westbound RM-2769 from south of County Road 182 to west of Lime Creek Road (mile markers 0532 to 0526). Roadway icing, black ice, and low visibility caused by blowing snow have led officials to discourage travel through the area, with major delays and detours currently in place.
TxDOT personnel are actively patrolling the corridor and conducting plowing operations to address icy patches. Detour routes have been established to navigate traffic around the most hazardous stretches of the roadway while maintenance teams work to restore safe driving conditions.
TxDOT has established an extended operational window for the corridor, with advisory measures currently scheduled to remain in effect through July 30, 2027, at 4:45 PM, subject to ongoing condition updates.
Motorists and commercial freight dispatchers are strongly urged to avoid the area and utilize secondary routing where possible. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
