RM 2322, TEXAS — Both northbound and southbound lanes of RM-2322 are experiencing major closures and heavy delays from 0.026 miles east of SH-71 to 2.58 miles east of SH-71 (mile markers 0437 to 0432). Severe winter weather has created hazardous black ice across the corridor, alongside significantly reduced visibility caused by blowing snow.
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) winter maintenance teams are actively patrolling the route and deploying plows to clear the ice. Emergency detours are in effect to route vehicles around the compromised stretch of roadway.
TxDOT indicates that severe travel restrictions and roadway clearance operations could remain in place through July 30, 2027, at 4:45 PM as conditions are evaluated.
Motorists and freight dispatchers are strongly discouraged from traveling through the area and should seek alternate routes until the roadway is treated. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
