EAST/WESTBOUND I-30, TEXAS — A full roadway closure is in effect on both eastbound and westbound Interstate 30 (Good Latimer Expressway) near the Interstate 45 interchange in Dallas County. The closure is situated at mile marker 47, extending roughly 565 to 576 feet south of I-45, where all lanes are shut down due to active construction work.
Work zone crews and traffic operations are on-site to oversee the project area. Although no official detour has been designated by transportation officials, motorists traveling along this critical urban corridor should anticipate travel delays.
This long-term infrastructure project got underway on January 13, 2026, and operations are currently estimated to remain active until approximately 5:00 a.m. on February 21, 2028.
Drivers and commercial dispatchers navigating through downtown Dallas are advised to seek alternate routes to bypass the construction zone and minimize transit delays. We will update this report as TxDOT provides new developments or changes to traffic flow.
