EASTBOUND I-10, TEXAS — The eastbound Interstate 10 entrance ramp from La Cantera has been permanently closed near mile marker 556, approximately 0.9 miles north of Loop 1604. The Texas Department of Transportation has assigned this closure a maximum severity rating, warning commercial and passenger traffic to prepare for ongoing delays.
Traffic management personnel have established marked detours to redirect motorists around the closed ramp. Drivers are advised to use alternate access routes and follow all posted directional signage throughout the interchange area.
According to TxDOT, this long-term corridor reconfiguration will impact travel patterns through at least June 30, 2027, as extended roadwork in the area progresses.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should adjust routing through northwest Bexar County and budget additional transit time. We will update this report as further traffic pattern adjustments are announced.
