FM 928, TEXAS — Both eastbound and westbound lanes of FM 928 are completely closed near Interstate 27 due to bridge construction. The full closure spans from 0.21 miles west of I-27 to 0.24 miles east of the interstate at mile marker 302.
TxDOT has closed the bridge over the highway corridor, shutting down all through traffic in both directions. Official detour routes have been established to direct commercial vehicles and local motorists around the work zone.
Crews began the infrastructure project on October 8, 2026, and the bridge is projected to remain closed until approximately 6:15 p.m. on March 29, 2027.
Truck drivers and dispatchers should plan alternate routes across the I-27 corridor to avoid delays. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
