FM 989 AT I-30, TEXAS — The FM 989 (Kings Highway) bridge over Interstate 30 is completely closed in both directions due to ongoing construction. The full closure affects both northbound and southbound traffic from 222 feet north of I-30 to 370 feet south of I-30 at Mile Marker 212.
TxDOT crews have implemented a full detour to maintain local connectivity. Motorists traveling north or south across the interstate must exit and utilize the Interstate 30 frontage road system to navigate around the closed overpass.
Due to the scope of the bridge work, the closure is slated to remain in place for an extended duration, with an estimated completion time of June 30, 2027, at 5:00 PM.
