FM 1825, TEXAS — Severe winter road conditions have triggered major traffic impacts along both eastbound and westbound FM 1825, spanning from 0.474 miles to 3.857 miles east of Interstate 35 near mile marker 0540. Substantial delays are underway, and active detours have been established for all passing traffic.
TxDOT crews are on scene patrolling and plowing the roadway to clear accumulated ice. Hazardous driving conditions include severely reduced visibility from blowing snow and widespread black ice, leading transportation officials to strongly discourage all travel through the corridor.
Traffic control measures and detour operations are currently scheduled to remain active through July 30, 2027, at approximately 4:45 PM, subject to ongoing weather assessments and roadway clearance.
Commercial truck drivers and commuters are urged to avoid the area, seek alternate routes, and exercise extreme caution if travel is mandatory. We will update this report as TxDOT releases further updates or clears the route.
