RM 1826, TEXAS — Hazardous roadway conditions have forced active detours and severe delays across both northbound and southbound lanes of RM 1826 from 0.832 miles south of SH-45 to 0.13 miles south of US-290 (mile markers 0450 to 0444). Critical buildup of roadway ice and black ice has severely impacted travel throughout the corridor.
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) crews are actively patrolling and plowing the route. Blowing snow is generating low visibility, and officials strongly discourage travel through the affected zone while maintenance operations continue.
The hazardous conditions and active detours began on November 6, 2026, at 2:05 a.m., with current TxDOT operations and advisories projected to remain in effect through July 30, 2027, at 4:45 p.m.
Motorists and freight operators are advised to utilize alternate routes, expect substantial travel delays, and exercise extreme caution if travel is unavoidable. We will update this report as soon as TxDOT confirms changes to lane access or road conditions.
