NORTHBOUND US 75, TEXAS — The northbound-to-southbound U-turn under the US 75 overpass at FM 691 near Mile Marker 202 is closed due to construction operations. Main highway lanes along US 75 remain fully open, with the closure restricted entirely to the frontage road turnaround.
TxDOT has implemented an active detour to handle affected traffic. Drivers wishing to complete the northbound-to-southbound maneuver must bypass the closed turnaround and proceed through the signalized intersection at FM 691.
This long-term project closure took effect on July 12, 2024, and is currently estimated to remain in place through July 12, 2027. Local delays are anticipated along the frontage road and through the FM 691 intersection during heavy travel hours.
Truck drivers and dispatchers routing through the area should expect slower clearance times at the intersection when making turnarounds. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
