UPDATE: ROAD REOPENED - October 25, 2026 11:05 AM UTC The eastbound main lanes of I-10 west of FM-2316 have reopened following an earlier closure.
EASTBOUND I-10, TEXAS — All main lanes on eastbound Interstate 10 are currently closed following a severe traffic incident reported Sunday morning. The shutdown is situated near Mile Marker 27, approximately one mile west of FM-2316.
Emergency personnel and clearance crews are on site working to clear the roadway and manage traffic flow. No official detour is currently in place, resulting in localized congestion approaching the closure point.
TxDOT officials project that operations will wrap up and lanes will reopen by approximately 8:45 AM, though clearance timelines may shift as recovery work continues.
Motorists and commercial fleet operators traveling through the corridor should reduce speed and anticipate delays. We will update this report as more details become available.
