SOUTHBOUND US-54, TEXAS — The right lane of southbound US-54 is currently closed approximately two miles east of FM-2529 at mile marker 36 due to a high-severity traffic incident reported early Sunday morning.
Emergency responders and road crews are actively operating on the scene to secure the area and clear the obstruction. No official detours have been established, and traffic is being filtered through the remaining open travel lanes.
TxDOT records indicate the blockage began around 1:45 AM on October 25, 2026. Clearance crews currently project the incident will be resolved and all lanes reopened by approximately 4:45 AM.
