EASTBOUND SH-99, TEXAS — A major traffic collision has forced the closure of all eastbound main lanes on State Highway 99 approximately 4.4 miles west of FM-1314. The shutdown affects the corridor between mile markers 0746 and 0744, halting all through traffic.
Emergency responders and road clearance crews are on site managing the incident. With no official detour designated, transportation officials strongly discourage travel through the immediate area as responders work to secure the scene.
TxDOT first reported the blockage at 1:37 AM on October 25, 2026. Operations to clear the wreckage and reopen the roadway are projected to last until approximately 5:00 AM.
Commercial truck drivers and commuters should anticipate extensive delays and seek alternative regional routes. We will update this report as more information becomes available.
