EASTBOUND SH-183, TEXAS — All eastbound TEXpress lanes on SH-183 (Airport Freeway) are completely shut down from SH-121 (Texas Blvd. 26) to FM-157 (Industrial Blvd.) near mile marker 0582. The standard general purpose main lanes are not affected and remain open to through traffic.
Traffic management personnel have implemented an active detour directing all eastbound corridor traffic into the general purpose lanes. Signage and channelizing devices are stationed along the approach to transition vehicles out of the toll lanes safely.
Work crews initiated the scheduled nighttime closure at 9:00 PM on October 27, 2026. The roadway is expected to fully reopen to regular toll operations by 5:00 AM on October 28, 2026.
Motorists and freight dispatchers should plan for localized merging friction where detour routes feed into the general purpose lanes. We will update this report as additional information becomes available.
