SH-214, PARMER COUNTY, TEXAS — State Highway 214 is completely closed to all northbound and southbound traffic between mile markers 153 and 154, located just south of Friona. The total roadway closure spans from 180 feet south of Business SH-214 to 0.46 miles south of FM-2397 due to active bridge construction.
TxDOT crews have completely shut down the bridge structure for ongoing work. Traffic is actively being diverted, and drivers are instructed to follow the established, marked detours to bypass the work zone.
The long-term closure took effect on August 4, 2026, and operations are currently estimated to continue through December 31, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m.
Commercial truck drivers and local dispatchers should adjust routing through Parmer County to account for delays and detour mileage. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
