FM 846, TEXAS — Both eastbound and westbound lanes of FM 846 are completely closed to traffic approximately 560 feet west of FM 3263, between Mile Marker 294 and Mile Marker 296. The closure is caused by an active bridge construction project requiring a full shutdown of the roadway.
Transportation crews have shut down all lanes and implemented a mandatory detour around the work zone. Drivers are directed to follow the posted detour signs or secure alternate routes prior to entering the corridor.
The long-term closure is currently scheduled to remain in effect through March 31, 2027, with an estimated reopening time of 5:00 p.m., pending project completion.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should plan alternative travel routes through the area to avoid delays and bypass the construction zone. We will update this report as TxDOT releases further updates.
