I-30, DALLAS COUNTY, TEXAS — The Cadiz Street and Akard Street bridges over Interstate 30 are closed to all traffic just east of I-35E near mile marker 46. The roadway and bridge structures have been shut down in both east and westbound travel corridors to facilitate full bridge rebuild operations.
TxDOT crews have placed official detours along alternate routes to redirect local and highway traffic around the construction zone. Motorists traversing the area should anticipate active lane restrictions, slowed transit, and recurring congestion near the interchange.
This multi-year structural overhaul began in early 2026 and carries an estimated completion timeline extending through July 28, 2028, at approximately 11:00 a.m.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers are advised to plan secondary routes through downtown Dallas and allocate extra travel time to avoid delays. We will update this report as new detour patterns or lane updates are released by transportation officials.
