EASTBOUND AND WESTBOUND I-10, TEXAS — Alternating lane closures are in effect on both eastbound and westbound Interstate 10 between Mile Marker 554 and Mile Marker 559. The impacted corridor extends from approximately 2.2 miles north of Loop 1604 to 0.8 miles south of Spur 53 due to roadway construction.
TxDOT crews have implemented official detours to direct traffic around closed roadway sections. Heavy traffic delays are being reported in both travel directions as vehicles navigate the restricted work zones.
The long-term construction project and associated lane closures are currently projected to remain in place until approximately July 19, 2028, at 5:00 AM.
Commercial drivers, freight dispatchers, and local motorists are strongly urged to utilize alternate routes to avoid congestion through the corridor. We will update this report as conditions change or further restrictions are announced.
