I-30 NEAR I-45, TEXAS — Severe traffic disruptions are underway along Eastbound and Westbound Interstate 30 near the I-45 interchange at Mile Marker 47. Both the northbound and southbound Cesar Chavez Bridges have been completely closed to traffic as crews begin an extensive bridge rebuild project.
TxDOT personnel have implemented full bridge and lane closures in the immediate work zone, directing all traffic onto signed detours. Motorists and commercial vehicles are required to use alternate surface routes and nearby connectors to bypass the construction limits.
The long-term construction closure is currently projected to remain in effect until approximately November 24, 2028, as crews complete the bridge replacement.
Freight dispatchers and commercial drivers moving through the Dallas area should review routing options in advance and anticipate ongoing congestion near the I-30/I-45 interchange. We will update this report as new detour configurations or access changes are announced.
