WESTBOUND I-10, TEXAS — The continuous westbound-to-eastbound frontage road turnaround on Interstate 10 at State Highway 46 (Mile Marker 607) has been closed due to bridge work. The closure is restricted to the turnaround structure only, and all main travel lanes on I-10 remain open to traffic.
Traffic management personnel have established a designated detour to redirect affected motorists around the construction zone. TxDOT maintenance and construction crews are actively working on-site to complete the necessary bridge operations.
Work on the turnaround began on January 9, 2026, and is scheduled to remain continuously closed through December 31, 2026, at approximately 4:00 PM.
Motorists and commercial drivers needing to reverse travel direction at SH 46 should follow posted detour signage and anticipate minor navigation adjustments along the frontage road. We will update this report as additional information becomes available.
