WESTBOUND I-30, TEXAS — All westbound main lanes of Interstate 30 are completely closed between Mile Marker 58 and Mile Marker 57, just east of Interstate 635. The full highway closure began around 2:45 AM and spans from 1.2 miles east of I-635 to roughly one-third of a mile east of the interchange.
Emergency personnel and TxDOT clearance crews are on the scene managing the severe blockage. All westbound traffic is currently being diverted off the main lanes and detoured onto the adjacent frontage road.
Significant congestion and travel delays are affecting the corridor. Transportation officials estimate the incident will be cleared and lanes reopened by approximately 9:00 AM, creating notable impacts for morning commuters and commercial freight.
Motorists and commercial dispatchers should avoid the area and plan alternate routes around this section of I-30. We will update this report as more details become available.
