WESTBOUND I-20, TEXAS — All westbound main lanes of Interstate 20 are completely closed near Interstate 45 at Mile Marker 474 due to police activity. The blockage extends from roughly 0.36 miles east of SH-310 to just east of the I-45 interchange, bringing westbound highway traffic to a halt.
Law enforcement and emergency responders are on the scene managing the incident. No official detour has been established, and motorists approaching the interchange are experiencing heavy congestion.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the closure began around 10:00 a.m. Crews and officials estimate clearance by approximately 2:00 p.m., though traffic delays will persist in the corridor.
