NORTHBOUND I-45, TEXAS — All northbound main lanes on Interstate 45 are closed near Interstate 20 due to a severe traffic incident reported late Thursday morning. The total closure extends from mile marker 275 to mile marker 276, between SH-310 and approximately 0.25 miles north of I-20.
Emergency responders and maintenance crews are on the scene managing the roadway blockage. With all northbound travel lanes obstructed, traffic is backing up rapidly and causing significant delays through the corridor.
TxDOT reports an estimated clearance time of around 4:00 PM while crews work to resolve the incident and reopen the lanes. No official detour has been established, and drivers are being directed to seek alternate routes around the interchange.
