WESTBOUND I-20, TEXAS — All westbound main lanes of Interstate 20 are completely closed at Interstate 45 following an active police incident. The closure affects the corridor from east of SH-310 to just east of I-45 near mile marker 474, blocking all westbound traffic.
Law enforcement personnel are on the scene managing the incident area. With no designated detour route currently established, heavy congestion is building upstream toward SH-310.
According to transportation officials, the closure began at approximately 10:00 AM and is estimated to remain in place until around 4:00 PM while emergency crews handle the situation.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should seek alternate east-west routes across the area to avoid severe delays. We will update this report as more information becomes available.
