WESTBOUND SH-302, TEXAS — The westbound SH-302 service road is completely closed between mile markers 222 and 223 due to severe flooding. High water has submerged the roadway from 391 feet east of SH-115 extending to approximately one mile west of SH-18, shutting down travel along the corridor.
Transportation crews have shut down the affected lanes and established an active detour to route traffic around the hazard. Road maintenance personnel remain on scene monitoring water levels and assessing roadway conditions.
The roadway closure is expected to remain in place through the afternoon, with an estimated reopening time of 5:00 PM, depending on drainage and weather conditions.
Drivers and freight dispatchers are advised to plan for alternate routes, reduce speeds in the area, and adhere to all posted detour instructions. We will update this report as soon as new information becomes available.
