WESTBOUND SH-183, TEXAS — The entrance ramp connecting the westbound SH-183 general purpose lanes to the westbound SH 121/SH 183 TEXpress Lanes at Industrial Boulevard (FM-157) is closed for scheduled construction. The ramp closure is situated at mile marker 0582, approximately one-third of a mile west of FM-157 along Airport Freeway.
TxDOT crews have designated a detour to maintain traffic flow through the corridor. All westbound motorists and commercial haulers must remain on the SH-183 general purpose lanes, as direct access to the tolled express lanes is unavailable at this interchange.
The maintenance operations are restricted to overnight hours, beginning at 9:00 p.m. on November 2, 2026, with daily overnight closures concluding by 5:00 a.m. on November 6, 2026. General lanes will remain open, but ramp access will be restricted nightly during these active work windows.
Commercial drivers and regional dispatchers should anticipate slower merging conditions near the FM-157 interchange and plan routes accordingly. We will update this report as TxDOT provides further notices or modifies the work schedule.
