SOUTHBOUND US-87, TEXAS — High-water conditions have created significant travel hazards along southbound US-87 near FM-928. Multiple low water crossings are flooding, pushing water directly over the roadway between 0.44 miles north of FM-928 and mile marker 202.
Highway maintenance personnel are monitoring water levels across the affected stretch. No formal detour is currently posted, but the high water levels present critical hazards to passing commercial and passenger vehicles.
According to transportation officials, the flooded conditions are expected to remain a disruption until approximately 12:00 PM on October 26, 2026, pending weather and drainage clearance.
Dispatchers and commercial drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution, avoid entering standing water, and consider rerouting around the FM-928 junction. We will update this report as additional clearance information becomes available.
