LOOP 360, TEXAS — Widespread ice and snow have led to major delays and active detours along both northbound and southbound Loop 360 (SL0360). The affected corridor spans from 0.031 miles south of Walsh Tarlton Lane to 0.49 miles west of US-183, between mile markers 0446 and 0432, with hazardous freezing conditions heavily impacting bridges and elevated structures.
Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) crews are actively patrolling the route, plowing snow, and treating icy overpasses. Official detour routes have been activated to divert traffic away from the most heavily impacted sections of the highway.
TxDOT incident management reports this severe winter weather alert will remain active while clearance operations and continuous safety patrols are carried out, with extended treatment efforts anticipated throughout the duration of the freezing conditions.
Drivers and freight dispatchers are urged to utilize alternate routes, reduce speeds significantly, and exercise extreme caution on all elevated roadways. We will update this report as TxDOT provides further updates or road conditions improve.
