SH-20, TEXAS — State Highway 20 is fully closed in both east and westbound directions between Mile Marker 366 and Mile Marker 368, approximately 5 to 7 miles east of FM-3380. All travel lanes are blocked due to significant silt accumulation across the roadway.
TxDOT clearance crews are on site conducting debris removal operations to safely clear the road surface. No official detour has been designated, and motorists travelling through the area are experiencing major traffic delays.
The roadway is tentatively expected to reopen around 11:30 AM on October 25, 2026, pending the completion of cleanup and safety inspections.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers should seek alternate routes and avoid this section of SH-20 until lanes are cleared. We will update this report as additional information becomes available.
