NORTHBOUND I-35, TEXAS — All northbound mainlanes of Interstate 35 are closed past Rittiman Road near mile marker 165 following a major traffic collision reported Saturday morning. The blockage impacts the corridor just south of FM-1976.
Emergency response crews and TxDOT personnel are actively working the scene. All northbound traffic is being directed off the highway and detoured onto the adjacent frontage road to bypass the crash site.
TxDOT estimates that recovery and clearance operations will continue through the midday hours, with the highway projected to reopen around 12:30 p.m.
