EASTBOUND US 290, TEXAS — The eastbound US-290 mainlane exit ramp to William Cannon Drive is fully closed to traffic just east of State Highway 71. The closure is positioned near mile marker 570 to facilitate overnight roadway installation and maintain work zone safety.
Crews are actively working on-site, and TxDOT has established local detours around the ramp closure. Motorists and commercial drivers traveling through the corridor should anticipate delays approaching the work zone.
Work began at 10:00 p.m. on October 30 and is estimated to conclude by 7:00 a.m. on October 31. Normal traffic operations are expected to resume prior to the morning peak travel window.
Drivers and freight dispatchers are advised to utilize alternate exits or adjust route timing through the area. We will update this report as conditions change or once the ramp is fully reopened.
