WESTBOUND US 290, TEXAS — The westbound US-290 exit ramp to RM 1826 is fully closed to traffic between Mile Marker 0570 and Mile Marker 0568. The closure is actively blocking ramp access just east of RM 1826 while crews conduct work zone safety and punchlist operations.
Traffic management personnel have established detours around the closed ramp, and heavy delays are expected through the corridor. Motorists and commercial carriers heading westbound should prepare for slower speeds and merge adjustments approaching the work zone.
Work zone operations commenced at 10:00 PM on October 30, 2026, and the ramp is scheduled to reopen by 7:00 AM on October 31, 2026.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers are advised to adjust routing or allow extra transit time when navigating this section of US-290. We will update this report as TxDOT provides additional details or when the roadway fully reopens.
