BUSINESS I-27, TEXAS — Severe traffic restrictions are in effect along both northbound and southbound Business I-27 near Mile Marker 172, spanning from 539 feet south of FM-3466 to 95 feet south of US-70. Lanes have been closed to regular through traffic, reducing all movement to a single shared travel lane due to ongoing bridge repair operations.
TxDOT crews have implemented two-way traffic control alongside a temporary four-way stop to manage alternating vehicular flows through the single remaining lane. A designated detour route is active to divert traffic around the restricted bridge zone.
Work crews anticipate these bridge repairs and traffic restrictions will remain in place through January 31, 2027, with an estimated reopening target of 6:00 PM, subject to construction conditions.
