NORTH AND SOUTHBOUND SH-194, TEXAS — Northbound and southbound State Highway 194 (Quincy Street) is restricted to a single alternating lane between Mile Markers 310 and 312, stretching from 0.819 miles west of I-27 to north of FM-3466. The major lane restrictions are required to facilitate an extensive roadway rebuild.
Two-way traffic control is currently in place to manage travel through the single remaining open lane, and formal detours have been activated. Highway crews are maintaining continuous traffic control, and motorists must be prepared for periodic complete stops approaching the work zone.
TxDOT estimates the reconstruction project will remain active through November 2, 2026, with an expected completion window targeted for 6:00 p.m.
Commercial truck drivers and local dispatchers should consider alternate corridors or allocate extra transit time through this stretch of SH-194. We will update this report as conditions develop or schedules shift.
