FM-2990, TEXAS — Both northbound and southbound lanes of FM-2990 are closed to traffic from 1.032 miles north of SH-34 to 2.434 miles north of SH-34 at Mile Marker 0220. The complete roadway shutdown is in effect due to bridge construction.
TxDOT crews have closed the bridge to all through traffic. A marked detour is actively in place, and drivers are instructed to follow posted signage and seek alternate routes around the work zone.
The long-term construction closure is currently estimated to remain in place until June 29, 2029, at approximately 4:00 PM.
Commercial truck drivers and local motorists should adjust trip planning and dispatch routing to avoid this segment of FM-2990. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
