US-181, TEXAS — Significant lane closures are currently affecting both eastbound and westbound traffic along US-181, located approximately 1.1 miles west of FM-2986. The restriction extends between mile marker 0634 and mile marker 0636A, where travel lanes have been reduced to one lane.
A designated detour route is in place to navigate vehicles around the shuttered roadway sections. Highway crews have deployed marked detour signage to guide traffic safely through the affected corridor.
According to transportation officials, the closure began on October 14, 2026, and is estimated to remain active until approximately 5:00 p.m. on January 29, 2027.
