WESTBOUND I-20, TEXAS — Alternating lane closures have been established along westbound Interstate 20 from mile marker 367 to mile marker 364, extending from just east of State Highway 108 to east of State Highway 16. The high-impact restrictions are resulting in significant traffic delays throughout the corridor.
Crews are conducting slow-moving road repair operations along the mainlanes. In response to the blockage and heavy volume, traffic management officials have implemented an active detour redirecting westbound traffic onto the adjacent frontage road.
The maintenance operations and alternating closures are scheduled to remain in place through approximately November 27, 2026, at 5:00 PM, pending weather conditions and progress.
Motorists and freight dispatchers navigating this stretch of I-20 should factor in extended travel times, reduce speeds in the work zone, and follow all posted detour signs. We will update this report as additional information or schedule changes become available.
