WESTBOUND US 290, TEXAS — The westbound US 290 mainlane exit ramp to RM 1826 is closed nightly between mile marker 0570 and mile marker 0568. The full ramp closure is active overnight between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. while crews conduct work zone safety operations and painting.
TxDOT crews have established an active detour to route traffic around the closed ramp, and motorists should expect notable travel delays approaching the work area. Cones, signage, and maintenance vehicles are positioned along the shoulder and ramp approach to guide traffic.
Work began on the evening of October 26, 2026, and the nightly schedule is projected to conclude by 6:00 a.m. on October 30, 2026. The exit ramp is reopened to normal traffic flow during daytime hours outside of the designated overnight work windows.
Commercial truck drivers and dispatchers routing through western Travis County should account for travel delays or select alternative exits during closure hours. We will update this report as more information becomes available.
