NORTHBOUND SH-349, TEXAS — A major traffic incident has forced the closure of multiple lanes on northbound State Highway 349 between Mile Marker 284 and Mile Marker 286. The closure extends from approximately 565 feet north of FM-829 to 238 feet north of FM-828, resulting in severe delays for northbound traffic.
Emergency response crews and traffic control personnel are on site managing the shutdown. A mandatory detour is active, directing all northbound motorists east onto FM 828 to navigate around the blocked stretch of highway.
TxDOT reports the incident began shortly after 4:20 PM, with cleanup and clearance operations expected to continue until approximately 8:00 PM.
