EASTBOUND US 290, TEXAS — The eastbound US 290 mainlane exit ramp to William Cannon Drive is closed nightly for scheduled work zone safety operations and painting. The closure is located roughly a half-mile east of SH-71 near mile marker 570, completely restricting access to the William Cannon exit during work hours.
TxDOT crews and contractors are on-site conducting painting operations throughout the night. Official detours are established to redirect eastbound traffic to subsequent exits to bypass the closed ramp.
Closures will take effect each night between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., with all operations scheduled to conclude by 6:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026.
Motorists and commercial truck dispatchers should account for travel delays, adjust delivery schedules, and obey all work zone signage. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
