NORTHBOUND SH-6, TEXAS — An entrance ramp along northbound State Highway 6 is closed to all traffic near Mile Marker 0488, approximately 0.8 miles west of Loop 396. The closure completely blocks entrance access to the northbound main lanes at this interchange.
Traffic management crews have established an active detour route to redirect motorists around the blocked entrance. Drivers are instructed to follow all posted signage and utilize designated alternate ramps to access the highway.
TxDOT officials project the closure will remain in effect through late December 2026, with an estimated conclusion on December 31, 2026, at approximately 11:45 PM.
Commercial operators, fleet dispatchers, and local drivers traveling through McLennan County should adjust routing to incorporate the designated detour points. We will update this report as new information becomes available.
